Bit the bullet, new programs to learn, fair priced but... Jul 03, 2010 MS 2007 OFFICE PROFESSIONAL SOFTWARE: I had read other reviews of the new version and with talking with others decided I would have to upgrade from 2003 Office Pro to Office Pro 2007. Yes, I am starting to love it... but why do they not tell you where the print button is? It is hidden under the icon on the top left! It sure has many bells and whistles. The learning curve took my productivity from 100% to 25% for about two weeks. But now that has passed I am back up and running again. I am in my fifties and so maybe if you are older thinking you can't learn... well you can! Just have patience and lots of time on weekends to go through stuff. I did hope I would maybe get on offer to upgrade cheaper to Office Pro 2010 since that just came out... but to date have not gotten that. All in all I would upgrade because sooner or later you just have to keep up with the times.
Ribbon bars are from hell... Jun 30, 2010 I've been using Office 2007 for three months now. It is the most user unfriendly program I have ever used. Tasks that were simple in previous versions are now mostly time wasted in trying to find simple commands within these new programs. The ribbons bars take up screen space, confuse the user, and hinder documents creation. The company for which I work went to this version, and the multitude of ensuing problems have been incredible. But we're stuck with it now, so I'm hoping that I will eventually get used to suh poorly designed features.
Almost Full Jun 22, 2010 This may seem a little outdated, however, Cool. There should be manuals that accompany this package as the old versions did. Nobody wants to use $100.00 worth of ink to print out manuals.
Otherwise the product is what I expected.
Buy the upgrade version if... Jun 21, 2010 If you have any (check on requirements) Microsoft Office stuff installed on your PC (or get some), buy the Office 2007 PRO Upgrade version for less, and get Office 2010 Pro Download free. 2007 must be installed by some time before or in October, and 2010 must be downloaded by then, also.
Ghastly! Jun 03, 2010 Got it at the office; been using it for a couple of weeks. Haven't found a single new thing I'll ever use. As for the rest, well... it's all there if you can find it.
If you loved going from XP to Vista, this is the ticket for you. I don't get it. Why? Why do they hate us so much?
